What is IR2111S Chip?

 The IR2111S is a high- and low-side MOSFET driver from Infineon Technologies (formerly International Rectifier), designed for N-channel MOSFETs and IGBTs in power switching applications. It is the surface-mount version of the IR2111, providing a more compact and space-efficient option for high-voltage circuits.  

Key Features:

  • Dual MOSFET Driver: Drives both high-side and low-side MOSFETs in an H-bridge or other power switching configurations.
  • High-Side Voltage: Capable of handling 600V high-side voltage, making it ideal for industrial, automotive, and power electronics applications.
  • Output Current: Provides 2A peak output current for the high-side MOSFET and 4A for the low-side MOSFET, ensuring fast switching.
  • Bootstrap Operation: Uses bootstrap capacitors for the high-side driver, which eliminates the need for an additional high-side power supply.
